The 1301 is light as all get out but recoil is light. Like there is no way a shotgun that light should recoil this light. It was pretty reliable as well.The 1301 Comp is a standard frame, the 1301T is not. It feels tiny in the hand and largely negates needing an SBS. For comparison, a Benelli M4 14" SBS with fixed stock is longer than a standard 1301T with Magpul stock. Also, the fixed Benelli stocks (pistol grip or standard) are too long for a fighting shotgun and their adjustable stock is stupidly expensive when you can find them.

But if you have to have one, 1301. Faster shooter, better ergos, lighter. I have a LTT 1301 & a M4. I have both. I’ve had zero malfunctions with the m4 and a handful with the 1301. The 1301 seems faster. M4 feels tougher. If I could only keep one I would keep the m4. In the end neither are cheap.
